There are several methods for the evaluation of the electromagnetic parameters of a material but many of them are difficult to implement. The aim of this study is to develop a probe to evaluate the electrical conductivity σ and the relative magnetic permeability μ_r in the case of purely conductive materials and magnetic materials by using the Eddy Current Testing method. The results obtained with an optimized flexible eddy current probe, designed with the simulation platform CIVA, will be presented as well as two conventional methods for estimating σ and μ_r separately.
