摘要

The novel bioglass-ceramic prepared by sol-gel processing showed high bioactivity. An apatite layer grew on its surface by immersion in SBF through a mechanism consisting on dissolution of ZrSiO_4, subsequent partial dissolution of ZrO_2 crystalline phases in glassy matrix and finally, nucleation and growth of a globular apatite layer on its porous surface.
