High-performance and low-cost sensors are critical for high-throughput analyses of bio-samples in medical diagnoses and life sciences. In this paper, we demonstrate nanoslot nanolaser sensor, which balances a high sensitivity, high resolution, small size, easy integration and simple setup. It achieves an ultralow detection limit of 255 fM for BSA protein, whose inverse number is much larger than the affinity constant. We also observed the remarkable protein adsorption around the nanoslot even in the low concentration of 1 pM. These results indicate that the nanoslot acts as a protein condenser powered by the optical gradient force due to the strongly localized mode in the nanoslot.
