摘要

We present a new approach for measuring biliary metabolites in polarized hepatocyte culture using 3D patterned collagen gel. We induced large bile canalicular space (bile pool) in hepatocyte cluster by inoculating and culturing rat primary hepatocytes in circular microcavities made of collagen gel. We successfully recovered by aspirating only content in bile pools and quantified the amount of a fluorescent biliary metabolite.
