摘要

The present study reports a microfluidic system for performing sample pre-treatment, nucleic acid amplification and optical detection for a molecular diagnosis. The entire process including virus lysis, extraction of ribonucleic acid (RNA), reverse transcription (RT), polymerase chain reaction (PCR), and optical detection were successfully integrated into the microfluidic system, which can automatically perform the rapid diagnosis and subtyping of influenza virus. Experimental results demonstrated that the developed system can successfully distinguish seasonal influenza A/HI and influenza A/H3 within 140 min. It may be promising for fast detection of novel and seasonal influenza in the near future.
