POTENTIAL GAS PRODUCTION IN THE PLANNED ANAEROBIC DIGESTION TREATMENT PLANT IN TUSCANY: BMP ANALYSIS OF ORGANIC FRACTION AND SLUDGE FROM SEPTIC TANKS

摘要

This work is a collaboration between ASM S.p.a., waste management company in Prato (Tuscany), and the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence. ASM has planned to build a new anaerobic digestion plant for the treatment of about 60,000 t of Municipal Solid Waste MSW). In particular, the plant will work with both source sorted biodegradable fraction and mechanical sorted organic fraction from residual MSW. It has been evaluated the possibility also to treat sludge from septic tanks.
