In the era of global warming, energetic crisis, and related resource conservation thermal insulation of buildings and vehicles has become extremely important (Roijen & Hofstra, 2008). Thermal insulation materials are of two origins: inorganic (stone wool and glass wool mats) and organic (various foamed polymers). During production of these materials, their application in construction works and final demolition of buildings, large quantities of waste insulation materials are generated, which require careful management from both: the environmental protection point of view, as well as resource conservation. These materials appear in very voluminous form, thus large landfill volume is needed which makes the disposal very expensive.
