COMPARISON OF FOUR LANDFILL GAS MODELS USING DATA FROM FOUR DANISH LANDFILLS

In the present study we compare four landfill gas generation models by using collected data about waste quantities and types from four Danish landfills. Additionally, the four different Danish landfills are compared and the estimated generated landfill gas will be linked to the incoming waste streams and waste categorization at the different landfill sites. The four landfill gas models are the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the Dutch model Afvalzorg, the LandGem from the US-EPA and the GasSim from the UK.
