'Integrated Natural Resource Management' (INRM) is one of those new buzzwords in the field of use, management and conservation of natural resources. But such is easily said but not so easily practiced. Particularly so since natural resources programs are often organized and implemented along the lines of rather closed sectors - or pillars - in most countries around the world. Breaking borders or organizing cooperation beyond them, let alone integrating them, is quite hard. This paper analyses attempts in Ghana to organize program integration across the forest and agricultural sectors, the ones which contribute most to Ghanaian GDP (besides mining).
