The inhibition of α-amylase and α-glucosidase enzymes is a strategy to reduce type 2 diabetes disease. At 25μg/ml, a 30% protein fraction strongly suppressed the activity of α-glucosidase while for α-amylase inhibitory assay, a 100% protein fraction showed the highest inhibition.
