摘要

A numerical analysis of the turbulent fluid flow through a circular duct having axial symmetry with sidewall mass injection at different axial positions and at different angles to the wall have been carried out using modified k-ε model considering streamline curvature effects, by modifying the model constants. The effects of the side injection on the penetration depth of the side jet flow and the pattern of recirculation have been studied in details. The prominent conclusion was that the side injection has a big role in the change of the onset and size of recirculatory flow.
