Recent advances in microwave technologies had resulted in increased availability and wider use of microwave in medical treatment, industry, communication and daily life. But the pollution of microwave also causes hazard effect. Mitochondrial shows up injury prior to other organelles after microwave exposure, but its injury mechanism was unknown. To explore effects and molecular mechanism of mitochondria] after microwave exposure, the study took PC12 cells treated with NGF as model, and observed changes of structure and function of mitochondrial after 30mW/cm~2 microwave exposure. Meanwhile, HIF-1 a and ERIC signal pathway expression were detected to investigate the relationship between the injury of mitochondria and the changes of HIF-1α and ERK signal pathway induced by microwave.
