Previous studies have observed increases in electroencephalographic (EEG) spectral power during sleep and waking after exposure to pulse-modulated radio frequency electromagnetic fields (RF EMF), e.g. [1-3]. This increase in EEG power has mostly been observed in the spindle frequency range during sleep and in alpha activity during waking, while increases in regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) have also been observed following RF EMF exposure [2].
