REVITALIZING AND URBANIZING A NEIGHBORHOOD WITH REUSE OF GRAYWATER AND RAINWATER: THE PORT WHITBY SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY PLAN, CANADA

摘要

Port Whitby is a rapidly urbanizing 1.8km2 waterfront neighborhood in the Town of Whitby ~50km east of downtown Toronto in Ontario, Canada. Linked by an expanding transportation network to Toronto, including the 62 million passenger/yr GO Transit, it is ideally situated for transit-oriented development to help accommodate the growing population in the area-expected to more than quintuple over the next decade.
