Implementing pipeline integrity management system for life extension of mature offshore North West Java Field

PT PERTAMINA HULU ENERGI Offshore North-West Java (PHE ONWJ) presently has a 415 subsea pipelines, with about 206 pipelines are active in the production of oil and gas. The pipelines in this field have installation dates ranging from 1970 to the present; however the majority of the platforms were installed in the 1970s and 80s. Recognizing the challenge to maintain this mature subsea pipelines facilities and the importance of pipeline integrity to ensure safe and reliable operation, PHE ONWJ has developed Pipeline Integrity Management Systems.
