Acne, as one of the most complex, chronic and common skin disorders, has been thoroughly studied in the last decades. Enhanced sebaceous gland activity with increased sebum production, abnormal differentiation of follicular keratinocytes and hypercornification, as primary factors and bacterial hypercolonisation, inflammation and immunological reaction as secondary factors have been earlier suggested to consist the major factors of acne pathogenesis.
