1.4BS Nucleation additive shorten the curing procedure time and reduce temperature required to form these crystals by skipping the nucleation phase at the beginning. 2. Induction of 4BS crystal growth will supply to form more homogeneous paste morphology. 3. By forming little 4BS crystal structures, It is gained more strict and durable structure having small, reactive and mechanically strong particles of 4BS. 4. Negative plates which was formed with controlled and optimized nucleation of 4BS structure gave more stable potential under cold cranking conditions. Furthermore It has still good cyclability and capacity at the same time. 5. The Negative plates-with additive-having higher 4BS content, show higher capability of high rate discharge performance during repeated cycles even after aggresive vibration test. 6. Moreover, these negative plates show less decrease in potential after a few HRD measurements. This represents that they still allow fast ionic transportation onto interior reactive surface and high utilization of active materials. 7. The negative plates made by this new method could be a part of the Stop/Start batteries which would be used in order to meet engine stop-start requirements.
