摘要

A framework of multidisciplinary optimization was developed to shorten time of product development and find an optimal design. To manage risks arising from sourcing, a concept of design for global sourcing was proposed and implemented by two specifically designed modules. A design case of an engine support component of gas turbine demonstrates both framework and concept are effective in cost saving and design flexibility.
