In this paper, the authors begin by questioning "...the cost-effectiveness and scientific foundation of some key concepts" 1 and then proceed to analyze the validity of the requirements in the two proposed standards (ASHRAE SPC-188P and CTI-159). The paper ends with the "hope" that "...the requirements will meet the criteria of being evidence-based, specific, easily implemented and effective in controlling the risk of...Legionnaires' disease."
