IBF via many publications yields major increases in the precision and sensitivity for MALDI, SIMS, and DART. Same technique/device has been shown to accurately, reproducibly inject 100% of liquid droplets into ESI systems! Same device has been applied successfully to ToF's, Traps, Quads and QToF's MS systems in millisecond timeframes. Single droplet MS yields precise, accurate isotope ratios for droplets generated in milliseconds, @ 10 Hz, from 100 to 2000 amu. This is believed to be the fastest MS introduction technique known. 50 millisecond/sample possible!? IBF yields useful information for the direct analysis of mixtures: urine; cells; coffee; radiochemicals; tap water; more. IBF yields low fg's on un-optimized systems. As the liquid is shot, 100% of it, into the MS, ag's anticipated. IBF can simplify sample preparation and introduction for MALDI, ESI as only one device is needed.
