Development of Isotope Labeling LC-MS for Metabolic Profiling of Bacterial Cells and Its Application for Bacterial Differentiation

摘要

In this work, a method for quantitative metabolome profiling of bacterial cells with relatively high metabolome coverage has been developed. Application of this method has been demonstrated on the differentiation of three different bacteria species, as well as identification of bacteria cells spiked in urine samples. This result illustrates the prospect of our method to practical applications, in which sample-independent, un-biased analyses are required.
