Integrated selective and sensitive QUAL/QUAN platform down to the ng/g level. DMS subsequent to LESA but the strategy can be implemented to any direct surface analysis operated under ambient conditions. DMS allows an alternative approach to chromatographic separations for rapid screening of drugs of abuse: (1) Modifier enhancers mandatory to improve peak capacity; (2)Separation of isomers. Speed of acquisition can be improved by using faster scanning mass analyzers based on QqTOF systems.
