Protein ID: L1 proved to be DHFR (over-expressed in E. coli DL41 pCOCK). Faint protein spots gave low TIC signal, thus more concentrated spots should be selected OR higher protein loads are needed in 1st dimension (IEF). M+H with higher m/z yield best results, less likely to be a random contaminant. TusE - repressed in the presence of TeMet; involved in sulfur-trafficking and could show difficulty in TeMet recognition. Omp A - repressed in the presence of TeMet; a transmembrane protein. TeMet incorporation could lead to structural deficiencies in OmpA. DHSB - induced in the presence of TeMet; catalysis of fumerate (aerobic). BssR - repressed in the presence of TeMet; global regulator: regulates stress, motility, catabolism and increases biofilm formation.
