Successfully transferred SOD_(1) tissue measurements to high-resolution FT-ICR after optimizing ICR parameters (most notably cell fill level). Developed an assay to measure the status of the intramolecular disulfide bond using Smmts. Found that the majority of the one-metal SOD peak was zinc-containing, however a small population contained copper. Future work will include more tissue measurements of G_(93)A and WT-overexpressing animals, as well as a comparison between the dorsal and ventral spinal cord regions in these animals. Will work to incorporate stable isotopes of zinc and copper, data which was not included due to complexity and differential isotope incorporation.
