Pharmacokinetic profiles of rosiglitazone in ob/ob mice as diabetic animal model were significantly different with control C57/B6 mice (AUC, CL, and Vss from i.v. and t_(1/2) from p.o. administration). Profiles of N-desmethyl rosiglitazone (N-Dm-RSG) in ob/ob mice was different with control C57/B6 mice. Higher AUC levels of ob/ob mice compared with control C57/B6 mice in both case of i.v. and p.o. administration. Profiles of hydroxy rosiglitazone (OH-RSG) was not significantly different between ob/ob and control C57/B6 mice. The metabolic enzyme involving on metabolism from rosiglitazone to N-desmethyl rosiglitazone may be different expression between control C57/B6 and ob/ob mice.
