The combination of nitrotyrosine immunoaffinity enrichment and gel free proteomic analysis identified a total of 29 protein Anti-3NT Western Blotting confirmed the presence of nitrated protein after 3NT enrichment Putative nitrated proteins identified that are abundant in the brain include MBP, BASP1, beta spectrin, synapsin 1A Network analysis revealed association of the proteins to different cellular processes including oxidative stress, ROS generation, cell death related pathway.
