Investigations on the Application Range of Chemical Cross-linking with NHS esters for the Analysis of Noncovalent Complexes with MALDI-MS

Chemical Cross-linking of high- to mid affinity complexes: (1) does not produce non-specific complexes at concentrations up to 35 (mu)M. (2) is applicable for complexes with K_(D) up to 10 (mu)M. (3) is possibly usable to rank binding affinities. Chemical Cross-linking of low-affinity complexes is problematic with the used approach.
