Sub-micrometer ToF-SIMS mass spectrometry imaging of lipid droplets during intestinal absorption

TOF-SIMS imaging allows to map lipids and to follow their evolution (localization and intensity) in well defined areas, in a widely studied model, the digestion, but for which there is very little information about the precise localization of these dietary lipids. There are still many phenomena to explain, such as the decrease of the intensity of cholesterol, vitamin E and some phospholipids.
