We have utilized complementary 2D-DIGE and 2D-LC based proteomic methods to identify approx300 differentially regulated proteins due to PMI-5011 treatment and insulin stimulation in human skeletal muscle cell cultures (HSMCs). These data suggest that PMI-5011 improves insulin action by modulating expression of proteins involved in the inflammatory processes in skeletal muscle from human subjects. PMI-5011 increases the cellular response of insulin-resistant HSMCs to Insulin.
