We have confirmed and expanded the previous myelin protein compendia by applying nanoscale 1-dimensional ultra performance liquid chromatography (1D-UPLC) separation coupled to detection with a quadrupole time-of-flight (Q-TOF) mass spectrometer. The identified peptides were annotated to a total of 294 myelin-associated proteins based on a minimum of two peptides per protein with an effective false positive rate of <0.2percent. They showed a very good overlap of 141 proteins that were also detected in previous myelin proteome analyses and included several established myelin markers.
