摘要

A major metabolic pathway for compound X, that was primarily catalyzed by CYP1 family enzyme, was identified as high risk for DDI. Through optimization from compound X to compound Y, multiple metabolic pathways were introduced to the molecule and the number of enzymes involved were increased. As such, DDI potential was reduced. A strategy coupling rapid metabolite identification with an abbreviated reaction phenotyping method to optimize drug candidates for mitigating DDI potential has been established for early stage screening.
