A Novel 2D-LC/MS Method for Analyzing Difficult Recombinant Proteins

Additional experiments are being conducted to characterize how well this system performs when high concentrations of denaturants (i.e. 8 M urea) and other common detergents such as TWEEN and CHAPS are present in the sample. Experiments to determine and improve the robustness of the system will also be conducted. As the need increases to identify and characterize proteins from complex mixtures solubilized in detergents this method provides a means for rapid effective sample clean-up with minimal sample handling.
