Miniature LDI-MS instrument prototypes were built and tested. Novell scan function was implemented. MS and MS/MS analysis of a number of peptides with m/z up to 2000 was demonstrated using CO_(2) as bath gas and 700 V_(0-p) main RF amplitude.
