摘要

The high resolution capability of Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR MS) has had high impact on crude oil analysis since FT-ICR MS spectra provide a wealth of chemical information. However, the sheer amount of information can cause a problem when it is necessary to examine or compare mass spectra in detail. Therefore, statistical analysis is a reasonable approach to deal with a large amount of data. In this study, a statistical program was developed for the PCA analysis of high resolution mass spectra and it was successfully applied to crude oil's spectra.
