New MALDI matrices are described as an alternative to the common CHCA. Naphthalen-CCA and Anthracen-CCA appear to be suitable matrices in positive ionization mode for a wide range of LMWC, as well as Cl-CCA which was until now applied to biomolecules. Studies are on going to determine and correlate PAs of both Naphtalen-CCA and Anthracen-CCA to the sensitivity enhancement.
