DISPELLING THE MYTHS ABOUT DIAGNOSIS TREATMENT OF FELINE RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS

In an ideal world, diagnosis and treatment would be based on scientific evidence. Unfortunately, we often have poor quality or no real evidence to guide clinical practice. This leads to practice based on anecdote and opinion. Even when evidence exists, there is such a huge body of medical literature that we as practitioners may not be familiar with what has been scientifically substantiated or countered. This talk aims to evaluate some of the common "myths" associated with the diagnosis and treatmentof feline respiratory infections and provide scientific evidence when available to support or refute common beliefs.
