摘要

This paper describes an analytical study on factors influencing the adoption of clean production strategies among the food and beverage firms in Peninsular Malaysia.The purpose is to determine the relationships of two non-regulatory factors with clean production strategies adoption.Two sets of interrelated factors leading to the widespread adoption of these technologies considered are:technology characteristics and communication networks.A sample of 76 Malaysian food and beverage firms was used for investigation,with one respondent for each firm.The responses to questionnaire measured the level of usage of the clean production strategies,as well as indicated the influence of two main factors on technology adoption found in literature.Statistical analysis used,was bivariate correlation.The results of the analysis indicated that both technology characteristics and communication networks significantly influence the adoption of clean production strategies.
