摘要

TG-FTIR technique is used for measuring the relation of matter weight and temperature. The aim of this study is to offer an efficient method for using TG-FTIR in the study of raw material composition of foundry formed coke. Owing to the difference of raw materials and coke functions, the composition of foundry formed coke may include blind coal, semi -coke, soft coal of high volatility, tar asphalt, petroleum coke, powder of furnace coke and so on. Precipitation velocity and instant precipitation amount of volatile matter in raw material greatly influences the quality of foundry formed coke during carbonization. By the study, the composition of raw material can be optimized. And then foundry formed coke of high quality can be produced.
