In Vietnam, the complete repair of tetralogy of Fallot has been developed rapidly over the last 10 years. This study was conducted with 354 cases, 82% of which had severe right ventricular dilatation. The mean age was 9.0 +- 5.4 years old. Most treatments followed the classical technique (91.2%). Post-operation period was at the normal limit, yielding a rate of 2.2% surgical complications and 3.7% mortality. Follow-up lasted for more than 5 years during which more than 97% survived but with right ventricular dilatation reappearing after 3 years. There were 5 reoperations due to residual ventricular septal defect and pulmonary stenosis.
