In this paper, we evaluate several popular and simple matched-filter-based target detection algorithms using theonline accessible HyMap data and ground truth provided by Digital Imaging and Remote Sensing (DIRS) Laboratory atRochester Institute of Technology, and compare with their regularized versions. Based on both self and blind tests, theperformance of these widely used detectors is objectively and fairly compared. Based on our experience, somerecommendations for possible system improvements are provided.
