TRACEABLE MEASUREMENTS FOR BIOSPECIES AND ION ACTIVITY IN CLINICAL CHEMISTRY

摘要

The aim of the iMERA+ Joint research project (JRP) "Traceable measurements for biospecies and ion activity in clinical chemistry" (T2J10 - Tracebioactivity) is to provide SI traceable reference points for biospecies and electrolytes. Available reference standards in element analysis are restricted to the determination of the total amount of an element. In clinical diagnosis, however, identities and quantities of element species and ion activities are of high and further increasing importance. Internationally accepted standards based on primary methods linking to those clinically active forms of elements shall be developed.
