A preliminary result is reported of the charged current and neutral current inclusive cross sections from e~+p and e~– p scattering obtained from a combination of published measurements from H1 and ZEUS. Taking into account the systematic error correlations in a coherent approach, a reduction of experimental uncertainties for combined results is achieved compared to the separate results of the H1 and ZEUS experiments. The combined results are used as input for a next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD parton distribution determination.
