Field experiments in two plant canes and one ratoon crop were conducted at Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune in medium black soil. The promising sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) genotypes CoTL 1153, Co 2000-6 and Co 2000-12 along with CoC 671 and Co 86032 as standard checks were evaluated for their response to 75, 100 and 125 per cent of recommended NPKfertilizers (250:115:115 Kg. NPK/ha.). From the pooled analysis over two plant crops and one ratoon crop it was concluded that the genotype Co 2000-12 was superior over CoTL 1153, Co 2000-6 and two standard checks Co 86032 and CoC671 in respect of cane yield (101.60 t/ha.), B:C ratio (1:1.60), CCS (14.97 t/ha.), millable height (242.97 cm.) and sucrose content (21.19%) when fertilized with 125 per cent of recommended dose of fertilizers.
