IBC has developed environmentally friendly Molecular Recognition Technology (MRT) processes to selectively extract and recover gold from a variety of process streams. Use of MRT promises to improve the economics of many gold ore bodies. The MRT process can also be used to recover and recycle gold from a variety of waste and process streams including those derived from electronic wastes (e-wastes) even at low (mg/L to μg/L) levels. Applications of MRT to the recovery, purification, and analysis of platinum group metals will also be reviewed.
