EFFICACY OF Suvaxyn~R PCV2 VACCINE ON PCV-2 VIREMIA IN A PCVAD-AFFECTEDHERD IN THAILAND

摘要

In Thailand, a retrospective study using immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded tissues (2000-20 02) revealed the prevalence of PCV2 infection about 38.76 % (50/129)( 1). These data indicated that Porcine Circovirus Associated diseases (PCVAD) is considerably of important for the Thai swine industry. Suvaxyn~R PCV2 (Fort Dodge Animal health, USA) is the Chimeric PCV1-2 vaccine containing immunogenic capsid gene cloned of PCV2 into the backbone of the nonpathogenic PCV1. Experimental vaccination with the chimeric PCV1-2 significantly reduced viremia and decreasing risk of clinical disease (2). The objective of this study is to investigate the efficacy of Suvaxyn PCV2 on PCV-2 viremic condition in a PCVAD-affected herd in Thailand.
