REACH will have major impact on the entire chemicals sector since manufacturers and importers of chemical substances made in or imported into the EU in annual volumes of 1 ton or more must register them with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). It is estimated that more than 30,000 substances industry-wide will be affected by REACH.
