In the present study, Ag/TiO_2-SiO_2 bioactive/photocatalytic coatings on painted glass surfaces have been obtained by a combined diffusionserigraphy coating process. These coatings have been obtained at temperatures close to the glass transition one of the glass substrate. Coated glasses have been characterized by means of UV-Vis and Raman spectroscopies, FEM-EDS, TEM, bactericide and photocatalytic activity. It has been observed that Ag diffuses into the glass surface and produces important modifications in the structure of the silica network. Agdepth profiles are also obtained and are related to the experimental variables used such as concentration, temperature and time. Finally, biocide and photocatalytic properties have been measured by means of bacterial growth (E. Coli) and photo degradation (methylene blue) under UV light at ambient temperature. Results have shown important bactericide properties of these serigraphy coated glasses.
