Photonuclear reactions play crucial roles in various processes of nucleosynthesis occurring in the universe. A laser-Compton backscattered y-ray beam and an active target technique will be a promising tool for precise measurements of low-energy photon-induced nuclear reactions relevant to nucleosynthesis.
