The dependence of the scission-neutron multiplicity on the mass ratio of thefragments in asymmetric fission of 236U was investigated in the frame of thesudden approximation. Only emission from neutron states characterized bythe projection of the total angular momentum on the symmetry axis ft = 1/2was considered. This dependence was found to be different and less pronouncedthan for prompt neutrons.
