NEW INSIGHT INTO THE FISSION PROCESS FROMEXPERIMENTS WITH RELATIVISTIC HEAVY-ION BEAMS

摘要

The results from a series of experiments performed with a novel inverse-kinematics ap-proach using the experimental installations of GSI, Darmstadt, gave a new global insightinto the nuclide production in fission reactions. Combined with previous results, thislarge body of data has been used to develop a new semi-empirical macroscopic-microscopic fission model.
